Ae'o’s art program draws from the Hawaiian stilt bird and the landscape that once defined its Ward Village site. Bold color and energetic mark-making echo the bird’s movement and flight, while connecting the contemporary tower to a place once shaped by taro fields, salt ponds, and native wildlife.
